Secretary – Dr. Terri Lisagor

The Secretary is responsible for maintaining all records of the Ventura County Democratic Central Committee.

Dr. Terri Lisagor is a fierce advocate, lifelong Democrat, and dedicated philanthropist who has spent her life fighting for justice, equity, and human rights. Raised in a time when women were told to sit down and be quiet—she did the opposite. She marched. She organized. She demanded change. From protesting the Vietnam War (yes, she marched at People’s Park!) to advocating for women’s rights, education, and healthcare, Dr. Lisagor has never backed down from a fight for what’s right.

A Professor Emerita of CSU Northridge, she has spent her career empowering students and communities. Her activism isn’t just local—it’s global. She has led teams to developing countries to deliver healthcare, uplift women and girls, and provide scholarships so that women can break barriers and pursue higher education.

  • Democratic Club of Camarillo: Served as President and Vice President, helping to grow and strengthen the club’s impact.
  • American Association of University Women (AAUW): Held multiple terms as President, championing education and equity for women and girls.
  • CADEM Delegate: Actively represented Democratic values at State Conventions, pushing for progressive policies and reforms.
  • Democratic National Convention: Had the incredible honor of helping to nominate Kamala Harris for President in Chicago—a moment she will never forget!

She’s not slowing down. Not now. Not ever. Dr. Lisagor continues to fight for YOU, for US. Because justice, equity, and progress aren’t just words—they’re a call to action.
