The First Vice Chair is the ranking officer of the Central Committee in the absence or inability of the Chair to act.
Joseph Summers has been a community advocate for over 20 years.
Elected 1st Vice Chair of the Ventura County Democratic Party in 2023, Joseph previously served in staff roles as the Campaign Coordinator for the VCDCC and with the Julia Brownley for Congress campaign.
Joseph serves as the President of the Stonewall Democrats of Ventura County and has previously served on the boards of leading LGBTQ+ organizations including Diversity Collective Ventura County, Rainbow Umbrella, and Ventura County Pride.
