Ojai Welcomes Allison for Congress Campaign

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Local Democrats greeted Tim Allison at our HQ on Tuesday. He was eager to get out and meet the people of Ojai. First stop was the Arcade to meet and speak to people on the street and touch bases with local businesses.  From Barrel 33, Rainbow Bridge, and The Gables, Tim was heartily received.

Tim constantly reiterated that he will represent ALL his constituents if elected–not just those who may have voted for him. “It’s well past time for a change in our representation in the U.S House to a dedicated public servant who will be committed to communicating with and standing up for us all!” Allison said.  To find out more about Tim Allison for U.S. Representative, 24th District go to:  http://www.timallison.com

The Ojai Valley Democratic Headquarters has information on all candidates and Propositions as well as free yard signs available at OVDC HQ.  Visit them at 305 E. Matilija St in the former Ojai Video storefront. Please stop by and help out–it’s all hands on deck this week for walking neighborhoods, calling,  manning the HQ, etc.  The office opens at 10 a.m. and stays open as late into the evening as possible. Can’t make it to HQ?  Tim’s campaign can set you up to make calls from the comfort of your home!  Look for the email on the website or call them at 805-744-3000.  Our country, our state, and our district deserves an accessible, energetic and responsive representative in Washington.

Tim Allison Endorsed by Nurses and Seniors

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

Tim Allison, candidate for California’s 24th Congressional District, has been endorsed by the California Nurses Association and the Alliance for Retired Americans.

The endorsements fill out key areas of support for Allison’s campaign, and demonstrates significant momentum in the remaining month of the election. The support of nurses — who have long been active participants in the electoral process — and a major senior organization which represents millions of members is a key indicator of increasing support for the Allison campaign.

“I am honored to receive these major organizational endorsements representing nurses and seniors,” Allison said. “My campaign represents a different kind of politics — one where a public servant actually listens to and responds to the concerns of their constituents. I have worked hard to reach out to seniors, nurses, teachers, firefighters, small business people, construction workers and those struggling to find work. Today’s support from nurses and seniors is an indication that these outreach efforts have been successful.”

Founded in 1903, the California Nurses Association is the premiere organization of registered nurses and one of the nation’s fastest growing labor and professional organizations in the U.S. with more than 86,000 members in hospitals, clinics and home health agencies in all 50 states. In the past 15 years, CNA/NNOC has grown by nearly 400 percent. Frontline nurses in California have been a significant force in California politics for many years and are some of the most active volunteers in politics today.

The Alliance for Retired Americans is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, formerly known as the National Council for Senior Citizens. ARA has more than 4 million members and has affiliates in 30 states. With seniors comprising a strong percentage of the voters in most Congressional Districts, the support of ARA is a prized endorsement for candidates for public office.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 17, 2010, 1-3 PM: Tim Allison For Congress House Party

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

SUNDAY, JANUARY 17, 2010, 1-3 PM:  Tim Allison For Congress House Party

Tim Allison, candidate for the 24th Congressional District, would like to meet you and discuss his vision and plans for the district.

Tim hopes to unseat Elton Gallegly in this year’s election. The 24th Congressional District has improved from 12% to just a 6% deficit for Democrats.  Encouragingly, Obama won the district by 3%.  Tim is a great candidate with an excellent chance of winning.  Campaign website: www.timallison.com.

Tim, a political strategist, has directed five out of five winning campaigns in Southern California.  He also directed a very successful Obama campaign in Santa Barbara County.

The event is sponsored by the Tim Allison for Congress campaign and graciously hosted by the Navarro family.
