Join us at our monthly meeting Wednesday, April 4 at the Goebel Center, 1385 East Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. Networking 6:15 | Program 6:45 p.m. Guests are welcome.

Steve Grossman is Brewery Ambassador for Sierra Nevada Brewery. He has written for the Los Angeles Daily News, appeared as a guest expert on radio, and served as a homebrew judge. His brother is Sierra Nevada founder Ken Grossman.

Steve will speak about the 30-year evolution of Sierra Nevada’s passion for sustainability practices. His topics cover alternative energy sources (the majority of Sierra’s electricity is produced onsite), recycling (99.6% of solid waste is diverted from landfill), water management, energy conservation, and CO2 and biogas recovery.

As we face dwindling natural resources and increased pollution, Sierra’s practices have tremendous relevancy. Many of the lessons learned at the brewery can be easily implemented in businesses and homes with minimal capital investment.
