About Us
The Ventura County Democratic Central Committee is the official governing body of the Democratic Party in the County of Ventura and works in cooperation with the State and National Democratic Committees.
The VCDCC conducts Democratic Party campaigns in Ventura County under the general direction of the Democratic State Central Committee. It is responsible to build the party organization at district, regional, and county levels, to register Democratic voters and to encourage Election Day turn out among Democratic voters.
The essence of the VCDCC mission is to encourage participation of all Democratic voters and to disseminate the Democratic message, platform and philosophy. VCDCC is responsible to officially charter Democratic Clubs and groups in the Ventura County area. There are currently 13 active clubs in this jurisdiction.
Additionally, the VCDCC develops official Party policies and positions, and communicates them to the public, and to all officeholders.
There are 5 Districts represented on the VCDCC, following the county designation of Supervisorial Districts. Members to each District are elected every 2 years, in the General Primary Election.
