William ‘Bill’ Hammaker 1908 – 2010

Longtime peace advocate and loyal Democrat Bill Hammaker has died at age 102. It was fitting that his birthday had just been celebrated at the June 3 meeting of the Democratic Club of Camarillo. Many friends were unknowingly able to say their final farewells and enjoy Bill’s humor one last time before he began his next journey. Bill will be best remembered for his constant and articulate advocacy for peace and for human rights.
A memorial service will be held for Bill at the Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive, Camarillo, 93010 on Wednesday, June 30 at 3:00pm.
